Our Experience
I grew up in Northern CA with an interest in woodworking under the guidance of John Cunnan, a cabinet maker and home builder, utilizing local resources, native trees, and constructing with wood joinery and wood fasteners.
I started my career path in 1989, in Geyserville, working for Zunino Construction with exceptional mentor Joel, learning the trade from the ground up. Completing custom homes, log homes, and various remodeling projects. I started as a laborer and parted as a carpenter.
In 1993, I started working for Elie Development, out of Petaluma, advancing to foreman and superintendent. We serviced all of Northern CA, completing custom home remodels and tenant improvements in Sonoma County and beyond.
In 2000, I received my general contractor’s license and began Lambert Construction. Focusing on custom homes, additions, remodels, decks, dry rot, pest repairs, and occasional tenant improvements.
I work with homeowners, property management companies, and real estate agents to achieve their needs, goals, and dreams.
With over 35 years of experience, I have the knowledge, experience, expertise, and skill to tackle and complete all projects and challenges.

My husband and I have had the good fortune to recently meet Jake. He has done a few projects for us, the main one being a complete renovation of our master bathroom. There is nothing I don’t love about our new bathroom. It is perfect. It was a collaborative effort, including my particular desires and Jake’s recommendations that he brings from many years of experience. His work is quality. Our home in Sebastopol was built in 1976 and we had upgraded the house over the years, completing the kitchen remodel early in 2018 despite contractor shortages and material cost increases due in part to the fire devastation in Sonoma County.
After deciding to put our house on the market, we still needed to complete a master bathroom major renovation. After contacting our realtor for a contractor recommendation, he directed us to Jake Lambert of Lambert Construction.
We couldn’t have been happier with Jake’s completion of a gorgeous master bath project. Jake gladly reviewed the scope of our project and efficiently returned with a bid for the project. We reviewed and compared his quote and found it to be within our budget. We signed an agreement for the work and agreed on a start date. Jake and his son Chris arrived as promised on the start date and before we knew it had that much worn, old bathroom down to studs. Jake made the changes to plumbing and electrical to accommodate our design changes. There were a couple material delays due to Covid which Jake used to get the project as far as possible while waiting for the materials.
Jake finished within the time he originally promised, despite the material delays. What a difference to our bathroom, we hardly recognized it! Jake followed our design and the only changes were the ones he recommended due to his knowledge and experience from other projects, which we much appreciated.
We have no hesitation in recommending Lambert Construction for your home remodel, repair needs.
We put our house on the market near the end of September this year and we are happy to say Jake’s expert work on our house aided in 5 offers after just 6 days and it sold for $50,000 over the asking price!
